A NOSTALGIC PRE-WEDDING SHOOT IN THE DERWENT VALLEY

For their pre-wedding photoshoot, Lorna & Ollie wanted to return to the first place they visited as a couple.

Lorna & Ollie had their hearts set on a pre-wedding shoot in the Derwent Valley in our beautiful Peak District. It was the first place they went as a couple. They were so specific that they requested going to a particular bridge, which obviously meant a lot to them so we knew we had to make this happen!

With Lorna & Ollie’s wedding taking place in Spring 2020, they requested to do their pre-wedding shoot the summer before, when everything was lush and green. Given the location, it was the perfect choice.

So one afternoon in August, the four of us met in a far corner of the Derwent Valley, travelling in convoy to various locations.

Ollie & Lorna were so excited about their shoot and really keen to try different things. Ollie is a composer and performer and we had great fun bringing out this side of their personalities, mixing up some gorgeous emotive images with playful ones.

To capture images of Ollie & Lorna from the other side of the lake, we packed them off with a walkie talkie so that they could still hear us giving them direction.

We all had such good fun and in the end, we’d had such a good time walking and talking that 5 hours had passed and none of us had noticed!

Lorna & Ollie were absolutely thrilled with their photos, and we thoroughly enjoyed our afternoon with them!
