A SUMMER EVENING ENGAGEMENT SHOOT IN THE PEAK DISTRICT
On a summer evening we took Elisa & Ben into the beautiful Peak District for their pre-wedding photoshoot.
We met up with Elisa & Ben late afternoon and had a quick catch up on their wedding plans over a drink in one of the local pubs. Sometimes, if we haven’t seen our couples for a while, this is a lovely way to reconnect and calm any pre-shoot nerves.
We’d picked a couple of locations to take Ben & Elisa, quite different backdrops to make the most of the gorgeous surroundings and create some variety for their photos. Elisa had also planned ahead and brought a change of clothes, which really helped create some variety in their photos.
We started late afternoon, with the first half of our shoot by the river and amongst the woodland, making the most of the gorgeous backdrops of foliage and water. Then, we all piled in the car to head up to a different location with expansive views across the beautiful Derbyshire countryside.
By this time, early evening, the light that we always look for was starting to appear – soft and golden. We were all having great fun and by this time Elisa & Ben were wonderfully relaxed and at ease, and open to trying different things with us.
We know that a pre-wedding shoot isn’t everyone’s cup of tea but it really does help our couples be so much more comfortable having their photos taken, and this carries over to the wedding day.
We finished up just as the sun was starting to dip and the midges were beginning to bite! We really LOVE Elisa & Ben’s set of photos and, best of all, so do they! Can’t wait for your wedding guys!
